Diversity in a community and Hierarchy in a community.

This week I like to write a blog about the diversity in a community and a hierarchy, do we need in in our community? do people live separately or mixed? & were do people meet eachother?

In some communities you have people with a different background. For example the asylum center, many times you have fights there because of the cultural diversity. Its very important that our society has the same interest. And when you have a social cohesion, its important that the hierarchy is oke.

Another example are schools and offices. Here you find people with different jobs or interest. You find in the buildings different departments. You know where your colleges are and you can find easily your information. In schools and work area's you have different meeting rooms where everybody can find each other.

Social, ethnic and cultural diversity have been considered by many as a threat to social cohesion; the more heterogeneous the population, the more fragmented it will be. Yet, there are many social divisions in society and most of them have become embedded into emerging social structures and relationships.

Migrants are quite often considered as a uniform group of people; however, their population consists of a large number of different nationalities and ethnic subgroups, with very different skills, education, employment careers, family backgrounds or religions. Immigrants often have a relatively weak position in terms of economic resources, but looking on the brighter side, their social, ethnic and cultural diversity adds to the city’s liveliness.

A famous picture of Obama gave a handshake to the cleaner in the white house.

How does our community hierarchy looks like, is everybody at the same level?

Does it have to do with the task or work what they do?

Does it have to do with if somebody is social enough?

I think in this company everybody is the same important,

but they dont know the subjects to talk about with eachother all the time.

I think we must let them choose when they meet each other.

We have people who works in:

- Computer technique

- E-commerce

- Customer service

- Production

- Products design

- Interns

Point to discuss: I think in our community every work category has his own living area, all the functions we mix in the meeting point.
