For an attractive public space

Following the ideas of making the public space more attractive, personally, it is better to have practical tests to see what aspects of a community will involve in the process of making a place where people feel free to live in.

Therefore, I have been doing few experiments, using the location of ArtEZ campus Zwolle, in order to see how people react to them, and find the unexpected results from that ( The more detailed progress and results are presented at class / presentation )

One of them is the experiments with the herbs in the Canteen

welcome people to use them for lunch, and maybe water them.

The aim of this experiment is to explore the aspects:

RESPONSIBILITY &

OWNERSHIP

The experiment does not force people to take care of it if they use it for lunch, but make it an entire voluntarily work for people to feel free to join it. In fact, there are people take the advantage of it without any response of taking care. There are minority of people do water it, place it in a good place, have emotions for the poor dried herbs.

The problem of this experiment is that it needs more effort from people to develop it, for instance, educate people about this activity of growing a garden at school, have more involvement of people by putting their plants in it, etc.

Therefore, the experiment is temporarily closed with the ending results of the observations from the time it appears in the canteen, and when all the plants are over, the experiment is over as well.
